if you belong to any of the following categories:

  • If you are currently working with a valid work permit in Canada.
  • If you have an expression of interest application already submitted to the Express Entry pool and meet the eligibility criteria for a PNP program. The Express Entry-aligned streams and categories of PNPs select candidates from the federal Express Entry pool based on their qualifications and the demands of the respective province’s labour market.
  • If you have some connection to the province, like previous study or work experience or if you have a formal job offer from an employer belonging to the province.
  • If you have a family member residing in the province.

Express Entry-aligned PNPs

If you are applying to a PNP category or stream which is aligned to the federal Express Entry, you will have to have a valid Express Entry profile. A major benefit of applying to an Express Entry-aligned PNP stream or category is that you have more than one chance of obtaining a PR in Canada. You may be considered under the Federal Skilled Worker program, PNPs, the Canadian Experience Class program and even the Federal Skilled Trades program. While applying for PNPs, you shall keep in mind that all PNPs lead to permanent residence in Canada. Once you become a permanent resident, you can live or work anywhere in Canada.

VISA TYPES

Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program

Launched in June 2018, the Alberta Express Entry stream targets candidates who are already there in the Canada Express Entry pool. The most important prerequisite to qualify under this stream is to have an active Express Entry profile.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program

The Skills Immigration Stream is for candidates with the skills, experience, and qualifications needed by the employers in British Columbia.

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

Most of the immigration programs under MPNP are not aligned to Express Entry, and those who wish to apply must first submit an Expression of Interest.

New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program or the NBPNP is the result of an agreement between the provincial government of New Brunswick and the Federal Government of Canada. The NBPNP allows the province to select and nominate qualified foreign skilled workers and business people to reside in the province of New Brunswick and contribute towards the growth of its economy.

Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program

This is a quicker alternative for those who wish to immigrate to Canada. Under the program, Newfoundland and Labrador nominate eligible candidates for permanent residence in Canada.

Northwest Territories Nominee Program

The Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NWTP) aims to help employers in the Northwest Territories secure the workforce they need for their businesses. If an employer fails to find a suitable candidate for a vacant position locally or nationally, they can look for foreign workers with the required level of skills and experience.

Nova Scotia Nominee Program

The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) allows prospective immigrants with the skills and experience required by Nova Scotia to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) helps the province to meet its labour market demands and economic development requirements. Under the program, Ontario nominates candidates with the skills and experience required by the Ontario labour market for permanent residence. It also helps employers to recruit and retain foreign workers.

Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program

(PEI PNP)Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program allows the province to nominate those individuals capable of making a positive contribution to the province. Candidates are selected under the program after being assessed on the criteria set by the Office of Immigration within the Labour Impact and Business Impact categories. Each category’s nomination targets are determined on the basis of the province’s priorities.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program

Under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), immigration candidates with the skills and experience that are in demand in Saskatchewan can apply for a provincial nomination.

Yukon Nominee Program

The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) selects foreign workers with the skills, experience and training demanded by Yukon’s local labour market. The selected workers are then nominated for permanent residence in Canada so that they can settle and work in Yukon.
